Marina Smith is a Canadian artist who has been creating mixed media jewellery art items for over 40 years, achieving a high level of craftsmanship over this time period and embracing many techniques.
Her current work embodies a Victorian Retro-Futurism that is whimsical, lovely and unique.
She is one of a handful of artisans working in this genre using high quality materials like sterling filled pieces as opposed to base metals alone.
Using vintage gemstones and mechanisms dating between 1895 to 1945 adds a playful and whimsical element to the designs, creating an air of illusion and magic.
Each creation has a story to tell, all her works are one of a kind and unique. We hope you enjoy the magic and years of enjoyment your piece will bring.

Each creation has a story to tell, inspiration drawn from fairytale and myth, intricately pieced together with skill.
Using actual vintage mechanisms and time pieces dating anywhere from 1895 to 1945, adds a playful mechanical element to the designs, creating an air of illusion and magic. Inner gears and ornate script exposed to the eye reveal the workmanship of a bygone era. Pressed components used are derived from vintage or reproduction dies, and span the Belle Epoque era and up to the Art Deco era.
High quality sterling finishes that replicate the soft tones of real Victorian era aged silver. All our items are nickel free.
